An Overview
As Africa accelerates towards an inevitable digital future, it will only realise the opportunities for growth and development across Macroeconomics levers through deliberate investments in infrastructure.
In the future that is digital and connected, 5G, Edge computing, Data Centres and Cloud are essential to driving last mile connectivity for the region and thus harnessing the full potential and prospects that digital has to offer.
Africa also has a growing number of smartphones and connected devices, building a strong case for Big Data. However, this opportunity area is still largely untapped (giving the variety and volume of data available to be mined in the region).
There is, therefore, a need to invest in digital enabling infrastructure; in this webinar, we will discuss the opportunities, challenges and best practice for infrastructure expansion in Africa.
